Colin HageneyPresident / CMO
Colin is a leading marketing advisor for corporations, associations or academic institutions looking to strengthen their marketing effectiveness, presence, and brand. He started Bullpen in 1997 after the entrepreneurial bug finally overcame him.
Prior to becoming President of Bullpen, Hageney was Vice President of Marketing for Hostcentric, one of the largest privately held managed service providers offering a full range of Web hosting services, e-commerce solutions and technology infrastructure. Before Hostcentric, Hageney was Global Marketing Manager for Welcom, an international leader in project and cost management software.
Hageney has been a volunteer with the American Marketing Association (AMA) since 1996 and has served on the Professional Chapters Council (PCC) for six years, including a year as President. This Council of AMA chapter past presidents oversaw all 76 chapters (28,000 members) of the AMA. He served for two years as President of the 1,100 member AMA Houston Chapter (2000-2002) and is presently on the Board. In 2010, Colin was awarded AMA’s International Volunteer of the Year in Chicago.
Hageney serves on the Board of the American Marketing Association (Houston Chapter), Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, Incarnate Word Academy Board, the Better Business Bureau Board Marketing Committee and the Marketing Communications Committee of the University of St. Thomas. He also belongs to the following associations: the Promotional Product Association, the Advertising Specialty Institute, National Catholic Educators Association and the Better Business Bureau.
