Tropical Storms and Hurricanes:  Be Prepared!

Once again, hurricane season has everyone in the Gulf Coast on alert. Just last week we had two named storms in the Gulf of Mexico.  It takes only one storm to change your life and community.  Tropical storms in our area usually start out as tropical waves from the western African coast. Africa blows these deadly kisses across the Atlantic to the Caribbean Sea and North America.

There’s nothing scarier than being in the “cone of uncertainty” as the hurricane approaches our communities.  Being prepared is critical and something we should all do.

Lifeguard 6-in-1 Charger

Recently I discovered a product that can literally be a life saver – the Lifeguard 6 in 1 Charger.  For less than $20, this product is an indispensable car and phone accessory critical in an emergency situation.  Use the hidden hammer point at the tip of the charger to break a window, or the built-in strap cutter in case of a seatbelt lock.  Other features include a power bank (2,200 mAh), USB car charger, flashlight and SOS flasher.  The Lifeguard is the ultimate safety product that every car owner should have in their Auto Emergency Kit.
